Hockey Theme Wedding DJ 

I’ve actually done a few Hockey Theme Weddings recently and have pictures to share with you below, in case you are thinking about the same type of thing for your special day.

Michelle & Tim got married in Latham on March 29, 2014 and we had the pleasure of providing our services for this happy day. The couple had their ceremony and reception at The Holiday Inn Banquet Hall in Latham, NY.

Since the happy couple met at a Rangers game, it only made sense to make the wedding theme match their passion: HOCKEY !!!

They followed the original theme great! They had ice statues, hockey puck place cards, red and blue uplights to match their team’s color, and more! There was a hockey jersey used as a guest book, for all guests to sign when they came in. They used the Rangers Goal Theme song for their entrance song. The had hockey sticks all over the walls, as well as banners and uniform pieces as decorations. They had a hockey theme slideshow and video presentation. And the centerpieces were hockey, too!

Great time had by all!

I also did another pretty cool Hockey Theme Wedding in the summer of 2015. This bride and groom also loved Hockey and went with a hocky theme for their special day. LATHAM NY DJ – Are you near… the intersection of the Troy-Schenectady Road and Old Loudon Road, on the west and east ends on New York Route 2 and on the south end on US Route 9 (US 9), near the entrance to Latham Circle Mall, on the south end near the Y-intersection of US 9 and Old Loudon Road, on the east end the border by the Kiwanis Park, Old Loudon Road and US 9 generally drain into the Hudson River, west of Old Loudon and US 9, the now dead Latham Circle Mall site, Town of Colonie, North Colonie Public Schools, the Latham Water Tower, or Latham Fire Department, if so… we may be the best local option for you!

WEDDING AT HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS OF LATHAM

Above is a video of my first time DJ’ing at Holiday Inn Express of Latham NY, this weekend. It’s a great place for a wedding reception with modern fixtures, multiple chandlers, ample seating and dance room for a medium sized wedding of maybe 150 or so.

Located right off of the Northway Route 87, Latham NY as a town is a great place to have a wedding; not too far from Albany, Schenectady and Troy, NY.

The Holiday Inn as a venue is a great place covering all bases for your ceremony and reception. At the wedding that I was the DJ for on Saturday, the bride & groom got married right on site, had a great photo shoot in the courtyard, and moved into the reception without a glitch. All inclusive is the key to easy transition and success for your special day.

At this particular wedding, the bride & groom had cake pops (another thing I am relatively new to), and wedding photobooth action provided by www.bryerphotography.com .

A LOOK AT THE VENUE…

CEREMONY – The ceremony can take place in the Gazebo room or outside in the courtyard with a real gazebo.

For this particular wedding, it was overcast with a chance of rain early here in October, so the venue had a great backup plan all ready to go inside. This was good in the end because it did rain. However, everything still came off just fine.

COCKTAIL HOUR – Your cocktail hour can take place in a separate room, just outside the reception hall. In this room, there is a small fountain as a centerpiece for appetizers. The room is a little narrow, but has multiple doors for means of exit. The room is also right off of the reception hall, itself.

RECEPTION HALL – In the middle of the facility, the hall is easy to get to and very accommodating. They have a separate dance floor and the floor plan that the venue went with at this particular wedding was very effective, with entertainment in mind, as well as food service. (This is not always the case.)

Anyhow, without hesitation, I would recommend taking a look at this venue for your wedding.
