This is a very nice wedding book idea as an alternative to the traditional wedding place cards that people end taking to their assigned seats and never end up looking at ever again. For this wedding place card idea, all you need to do is go to your local craft store and find some coaster-sized log segments. Most craft stores sell some pretty interesting wood pieces for various crafts and they are usually inexpensive like $5 a bag or so.
Next, while you are there, pick yourself up some markers to write on the wood with for your wedding place card displays.
If there is no such luck at your local craft store, call your local lumber yard. They can probably cut you up a small log real thin some or know somebody who can.
